Atlas Copco lighting tower wins Speedy Environmental Product Award

Atlas Copco’s HiLight B5+ lighting tower won the 2016 Environmental Products Award at this year’s Speedy Supplier Awards, in the face of tough competition.

The Award recognises the environmental benefits of Atlas Copco’s HiLight B5+ light towers over similar products. The HiLight range of LED lighting towers were designed with a view to reducing fuel consumption without compromising light coverage; keeping transport costs to a minimum; and avoiding possible leakages and environmental pollution.

By combining improved optics and high efficiency LED lights, an area of 5,000 square metres can be lit using just 35% of the power needed by conventional metal halide lamps. The B5+’s reduced fuel demands and compact design mean more units can be loaded on a truck, so reducing transportation costs. An integral spillage free frame minimises the risk of possible leakages and environmental pollution.

“At Atlas Copco, we are constantly delivering innovative products and services that revolutionise the industrial landscape and set new environmental standards. The HiLight B5+ light towers are an excellent example of how our commitment to sustainable productivity also benefits our customers.”

The Speedy Environmental Award recognises the company who has made a significant contribution to reducing environmental impact either through product development or by the introduction of new business, infrastructure or manufacturing processes. The winners were decided through a combination of delegate votes and a judging panel of Speedy senior directors and sector specialists.
