Atlas Copco has given me the experience of a life time
“I was asked if I wanted to go to Tanzania and work in a gold mine. I didn’t have to think for long to say yes and I then worked in Geita Gold Mine, Tanzania for five months as a service engineer. The stay in Tanzania proved to be an incredible experience both personally and professionally. Among other things I gained a greater understanding for the mining industry in general, and also about the environment the products I work with are being used. What was also interesting to see was the great interest shown for Atlas Copco by the locals. “
“After just over a year I got the chance to go back to Tanzania. Atlas Copco sponsored a climb of Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Tanzania. The purpose of the expedition was to raise money for medicine and education about HIV/ AIDS. The climb was demanding in many ways but at the same time an amazing experience.”
“I have been working at Surface Drilling Equipment Division, in Örebro since 2002. My present job title is test driller. Atlas Copco is a safe and stabile company which invests a lot in their employees. During my 4, 5 years in the company I have had several offers to work abroad. Also contributing to the fact that I enjoy working here is the fellowship at the work place.”
