Atlas Copco Construction & Mining Ltd has acquired H&F Drilling Supplies Ltd, the largest independent manufacturer and distributor of drilling equipment in the UK.
 
The acquired company has 20 employees, all of which will stay on with the company. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
 
H&F Drilling Supplies was founded in 1986 in Stirling, Scotland and over the last 24 years provided complete packages of drilling equipment offering bespoke solutions for a wide range of drilling applications encompassing in-house manufacturing facilities for casing and adaptors.

As of the 1st September 2010, H & F Drilling Supplies Ltd will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlas Copco Construction & Mining Ltd. The existing owner, John Henderson and Managing Director, Kevin Mallin have agreed to continue with the company on a consultancy basis.
