Atlas Copco showcases energy efficient compressor and blower solutions at The Energy Event 2012

The Energy Event 2012
NEC Birmingham
11th-12th September
At this year’s Energy Event at the NEC in Birmingham, Atlas Copco Compressors will be exhibiting its latest energy efficient air compressors and blowers. Visitors will also be able to learn about the company’s recently launched GA30-90 kW oil-injected screw compressor range and expanded ZS+ blower range. It will also be highlighting the performance and energy savings available when using fully integrated VSD technology.

Following two decades of cutting-edge development, Atlas Copco is an industry authority on the benefits of using fully integrated VSD systems, with its latest research showing that UK industry stands to save over 16.5 million kWh*1 of energy in 2012 as a result of using the company’s energy efficient VSD compressors. Visitors to the company’s stand can find out why a fully integrated VSD system provides optimum performance in terms of output and energy efficiency for rotary screw compressors and their ancillaries, when air demand is variable throughout the production process.

Visitors to the stand will also be able to learn about Atlas Copco’s latest energy efficient technology, including its ZS+ oil-free rotary screw blower range, which is proven to offer up to 30% energy efficiency, as well as the company’s recently launched GA30-90 kW oil-injected screw compressor range which offers significant improvements in sustainability and reliability, in addition to performance increases of up to 10%.
Additionally, Atlas Copco experts will be on hand to discuss its retrofit energy recovery kits available for its GA11-90 rotary screw compressors, which can achieve up to 94% energy recovery in the form of hot outlet water at temperatures of up to 90°C. Visitors will also be able to learn about other energy saving solutions, such as Atlas Copco’s free Health Check service, AIRScan™ - a highly accurate airnet survey report system designed to pinpoint any energy drains, and AIRConnect™ - an automated 24/7 internet-based remote monitoring system for multiple stationary compressor installations.
*1- Based on typical 25% average saving on energy, and 4000 running hours per annum when a VSD compressor is compared to a fixed speed compressor.
